Primary Enterprisers - 2006
The new Primary Enterprise Reading Bus Committee had their first meeting in January 2006. Their first task is to produce their own radio show about the Reading Bus. They have shown tremendous enthusiasm, creativity and skill and their show - “Reading Radio” will be broadcast in May 2006. These youngsters have already be helping with presentations about the Reading Bus. In March 2006 Savannah and Juuso did their first presentation to Cultural Co-ordinators from all over Scotland. Their slide show and talk was very well received.
The 2006 Primary Enterprise Committee worked hard to create their own radio show about the Reading Bus. The ten pupils from the primary schools within the St Machar Community met every week at Station House Media Unit in Woodside. They learned interviewing skills and presenting techniques as well as how to use the recording equipment, edit their sound tracks and create jingles. The enterprising youngsters created their own questions and interviewed Tyrone Smith, Sports Presenter from North Tonight. They also visited North Sound to interview John McRuvie.
