Can you tell us who lives in number 62 and what’s happened to them?
The exterior door was closed. The doorbell was jammed and the buzzing of the security system was iritatingly annoying. The pattern on the door was like an item a hypnotist would use and the windows were amazingly beautiful.
As you walked in you suddenly realised that the house was quiet apart from the rattling from the water feature. In the entrance hall there was a fountain, a transparent glass sculpture and a tropical fish tank all in one and if that didn’t catch your eye the stairs did. On one half of the U-shaped stairs were glass, light oak and metal and on the other side was wood and shiny brass. But the biggest eyesore of them all was the kitchen.
The kitchen was the biggest room in the house. On one of the worktops lay a banner that said on it JUST MARRIED. Next to it a wedding picture lay and a note stuck onto the worktop that said: Gone to Barbados for honeymoon. See you all in three weeks”. Every time somebody read it strange noises started coming from upstairs. Whatever it was it sounded like a cat being strangled to death.

Do you know who lives in this cottage? But perhaps things are not as straight forward as they appear.
It was a very strange cottage in the middle of nowhere. The middle curtains were never open. Another very strange thing is the cottage had five doors. The middle door was as huge as a giant, it was slightly open.
Inside in the hall there was nothing. Another door was slightly open again. In this room everything was colourful the chairs, walls and even the TV was colourful. There was a very strange cooking smell coming from upstairs. Through another door there was stairs, the stairs looked like they go on forever but they don’t. The stairs creak and there was music playing while you walk up them.
There are three rooms upstairs the one on the left and right are bedrooms. The bedrooms are so dark and gloomy the middle room was very dark. In this room there is a dark black spooky cauldron. Also there were three sparkling broomsticks lying next to the cauldron. This house was very modern and new downstairs and old and dirty upstairs. How could anyone climb up the stairs, there was thirty flights.
If you feel the colourful walls downstairs they are still wet and the chairs looked really new and clean everything downstairs looked like it just got done up ten minutes ago. Stuck to the wall was a note away to a fancy dress party be back at 12.00 at night

What sort of person or people live here and what is about to happen?
In an expensive neighbourhood down Banana Tree Lane was a huge house. It had seven windows and you could see into every one of them. It had a garage which was open quarter of the way up. It also had a gate at the front to get in which was wide open. At the front of the door was a bunch of roses.
Entering the house into the hallway there were stairs and under the stairs was a glass top table there was a can of diet Pepsi and three pictures. You could smell the smell of expensive perfume and hairspray. Through the hall and into the kitchen there were two knifes on the floor and empty dishes on the table. Out of the kitchen and into the living room. Looking around the room an ashtray on the floor and a burnt mark on the floor. The TV was attached to the wall and a couch that looked cheap.
Up the stairs and into the bedroom were loads of make-up scattered on the floor like someone had emptied a make-up box on the floor. It looked like someone was going out. There were also clothes lying on the floor. When you opened the wardrobes there was an axe in them. Out of the bedroom was a bathroom it had a mirror on the wall and toothpaste on the floor. Then all of a sudden you could hear a whisper coming from the bedroom and the sound of a door opening.

Who lives in this castle? Can you be a detective, find the clues and solve the mystery?
It was a cold dark winter’s night. Every so often the sky lit by forks of lightning, which made the old castle on the hill stand out against the dark.
The castle was very old. The walls were 3 metres thick and made of granite. They were 30 metres high. The only way in was through the huge wooden doors with iron bars running down it.
The door leads to the castle’s great hall. The floor was covered with wooden planks which looked as though they had come from a ship. Some of the planks looked as if they had African names carved in them. They looked as though they were African signs and symbols.
On the walls were African masks with thousands of different colours and symbols on them. There were also African spears and shields. There was a space where a spear had been removed. In the corner was a display cabinet. The glass had been broken and items removed. The signs in the cabinet showed that it had contained a whip, a rope, and manacles.
The roof was painted with a large map of Africa showing sailing routes between Africa, Britain and America.
In the opposite side of the great hall from the display cabinet was a raised stage with a curtain drawn across it. The missing spear was lying at the foot of the stage. Its point was bright red with blood. There was something lying against the curtain tied with manacles and rope.

Have a good read of this macabre story and find out what is different about it? Who gets murdered, for instance.
It was a dark and stormy night. There was thunder and lightning which you could see for miles. There was a house in the distance. You could see only the large heavy door and a few windows that had been boarded up. The door was wide open and a clock could be seen ticking at the other end of the big long hall which was decorated the way the 1960s would have been. And only a table was in the hall, standing under the large ticking clock which looked like it was brought from a charity shop.
There was a humming coming from what seemed to be an old living room with cobwebs and dust everywhere, and on the floor was a cover and a funny shape under it. Then I took the cover off and found a gun and a knife. I picked the gun up and it was loaded.
There was a red light coming from the floor. I crept downstairs, and I entered what seemed to be a cellar. The cellar had blood, blood and more blood.. There was a door, so I went through it. Then the door slammed behind. I turned around and saw the beast, with blood all over him. I screamed until I couldn’t scream no more, and that time had come. I stopped screaming and fell to the ground in shock. The next minute I was strapped into a chair and he was standing in front of me wit his machete up to my neck. “Sorry, sorry, I didn’t do any harm. Please let me go. Please.”
“Shut up!” he sharply replied.
“Sorry.”
“And stop apologising.”
And I tried to scream again but I was never to be seen again.
About a week after I was discovered, the man had gotten a life sentence in a high maxim prison for psychos.
And then my uncle was in the same prison and killed the man.

Can you work out what sort of person lives in this cottage and what is they might be doing at this very moment?
I arrived at a small cottage. As I walked in I saw an 80th birthday card and some walking sticks. I entered the first room. It was the living room. On the table was a checkers board and some checkers pieces. There was also a happy birthday sign on the wall.
I looked out the window and saw the front garden. The lawn was covered in snow and all the flowers were dead. I opened the window. I heard birds twittering and a tractor in a field and a town in the distance.
I saw another door, it led to the kitchen. There were some more birthday cards and a piece of peper on the worktop saying ‘Eggs, cheese and milk.’ I figured it was a shopping list. I guessed the person was out shopping and had forgotten it. There was also an oven, a kettle and a toaster and some cupboards, some were open, some had food and some had pots and pans in them.
There was a back door as well. So I went out, but it was cold so I came straight back in. I went back to the front door and went upstairs. There was a door open. I went in the door. It had a single bed in the middle of the room and a cupboard full of clothes and a pair of shoes. There was also a newspaper on the bedside table. I looked at my watch; it was time to go.

See if you can work out what the person who lives in this flat is like.
This flat was in the heart of the city. It had four rooms but was very small and cramped. In the hall there were two helmets hanging on coat hooks and in the middle of the floor was a skateboard.
When you went in to the living room there was clutter everywhere. But the only thing on the small coffee table was a letter saying “Hi it’s me Jas, I arrive back today. Fancy meeting at the skate park at one? See you there!” Just then the clock struck one o’clock. The couch was very run down like most of the stuff in the room.
In the bedroom the clutter was much, much worse. Clothes scattered everywhere, bed not made. But the wardrobe was half open, it was full of ripped jeans, red tops and black hoodies. On the desk there was a book with drawings of skulls but mostly swirls. The swirls were like the ones on the walls.
In the kitchen there were dirty dishes, spills and food piles everywhere. It was disgusting! But then something came through the mailbox. It was a report card and letter. On the letter it said “Miss M your grades better improve or you are expelled!!! From Mr Meaner”
On the teacher comment there was “hard to teach!” The grades were F, F, F, F, F, F, F and E+ Wow! What a bad grader I thought.
Back in the living room there was a trophy cabinet full of skateboarding trophies and on the door there was a calendar marked with skating days, and today’s date saying meet Jas Skate Park at one. Also on the cabinet there was a picture of a girl holding a trophy. “The same one as in the cabinet, she must be a good boarder!”

What sort of person lives in this house, and what are they finding a problem?
Arrived at a damp, crooked house in the middle of a dark, spooky, scary forest where the thunder struck and the owls hooted. I was trying to find a way in the house and to my surprise the door swung open. I approached the door slowly and nervously.
When I got in I went as white as a ghost as in the living room there were testubes. Some had frog liver and slug slime; some had people’s eyeballs and dragon intestine. At the corner of the room there was an old, crooked broomstick, and a book. It said Flying a Broomstick for Dummies. On top of the fireplace, on a shelf were black and white pictures.
In the kitchen was a large, black cauldren and beside it was a cooking book. Something was different about this cooking book but I couldn’t put my finger on it, then I realised what it was. The title said how to cook rotten frog. By this time I was nearly sick.
I went into the bedroom. It had piles of clothes, the bed was untidy and it had a smell of mothballs. Well at least it doesn’t have anything sick I said the myself.
It was late at night and I was going to the toilet when I heard a laughing noise, so I scampered away from the damp, spooky, scary house and went home.
