The door appears to be open.
I go in… and see lots of paintings. A smell of turps flies past my nose.
A nicely decorated kitchen with a packet of tulip seeds lying on the work top with some scattered round the packet. A steep spiral of stairs. Upstairs there are five doors (all closed) – three locked. One has a rather fancy door so I go in. It appears to be a studio of some sort. I see more seeds, then I notice a taped up window. A painting of a boy holding a balloon with a dog. Standing near a big house ‘The House Looks Just Like This.’ Then I begin to smell turps again…. I leave the room.
I go in the only other room open…. It’s a bathroom. I see a hammer sitting on the window ledge…. There is duck-tape lying behind the door…

A very small cottage stood in front of me. The cottage had loads of trees around it, with a path leading down to the cottage. I opened the door having a look around; I saw a red hair band with a bow on it lying on the floor. The walls were all brown and quite dull. The cottage smelt like freshly baked cakes and a pie sitting on the counter with steam coming out of it. I could hear little voices singing outside. I went up the stairs and on them there is a glass slipper. In one bedroom there are SEVEN small beds and in another bedroom there are two normal sized beds. A note on one of the normal sized beds saying, “we have put the bed out for your sleepover…. Love SD P.S have fun!”
Out the window I can see an old lady with a black cloak walking up a hill and a crow flying above her. I went into another room and saw something I never want to see again…!

As he approached the cottage, wind chimes hanging from the porch echoed in the summer’s breeze, and a ‘missing’ poster flapped, but stayed firmly tied to the fence. The front gate creaked as he slowly pushed it open, and as he walked down the cracked garden path, to the sides of him were overgrown plants and uncut grass. He also noticed a thin goat tied to a wooden post.
He stepped through the front door, which was hanging on one of its hinges.
The inside of the house had an obvious modern theme to it. On the coffee table in the small living room, there was a tear-stained marriage certificate among other documents and letters, indecipherable, as they appeared to have been soaked in water.
He edged back out into the hall, and his attention was drawn to a large tear in the carpet leading from the bottom of the stairs to the middle of the floor.
He walked up the small staircase, around 10 steps or so, to the only bedroom in the house. The upstairs smelled strongly of lavender, and was more old-fashioned than downstairs. Except it was a mess. There was blood on the pillows, the duvets were thrown into a heap, drawers tipped out and jewellery strewn on the floor, as if someone had left in a rush.
He fled from the house and sprinted through the quiet village, away from the horrifying scene that had met his eyes in the bathroom…

I opened the door and the first room I came across was a small, old-fashioned living room with a fibreglass window. I smelt the horrible smell of dog food. I heard a big ding-dong.
I saw a big grandfather clock in the kitchen and other things you would not see in a kitchen. I saw a bright yellow sticky note. It said: “The dog needs 2 cans of dog food. P.S the dog might be afraid of you”.
I looked out the window and saw large overgrown grass that looked like some old man had neglected it I went back to the living room. On an old battered table I saw a letter saying “Mr Runse you have successfully paid of your bill for your vacation” I heard a muffled bark. I went through to the bedroom and saw a dog with blood stained teeth and a body lying on the floor with a bite mark on his neck.

As i walked in there were wrappers lying on the floor that looked like Galaxy but I could not tell. There was a note lying on the bed saying, “Dear John, I have left town for a while so we could get some time apart, not fighting over you know what. From James”. Also, on the bed was a set of golf clubs on which the note lay. There was also a suitcase lying at the side of the bed half unpacked, half packed.

It was a bright, sunny day; birds were singing and children were playing. At the bottom of the street there was a huge house that towered over the rest. The grass in the front garden had overgrown and the path leading to the front door had big chunks of mud on it. The door was a mahogany red colour like the window frames. In the hallway there was an old-fashioned shoe rack, with three pairs of ripped boots and a pair of black leather shoes. On the walls there were paintings of plants and animals. In the living room, in the corner there was an old fashioned black and white TV. As you walked into the kitchen, on the door there was a picture of a man holding money. Beside the kitchen worktop there was a pair of football boots and a football. On top of the fridge lay a hockey stick, with a mask, and beside the hockey stick lay a trophy with 2nd place on it. In the back garden, the grass was perfectly cut and there wasn’t a blade of grass out of place. Lying on a bench was a pile of empty beer cans. At the very back of the garden was a shed, and on the door there was a stain of what looked like blood. As you opened the shed door, on the desk there was an empty tomato ketchup bottle and a fork. At the back of the shed on a shelf there was a picture of a bride and groom, and to the left of the picture, lay a piece of paper.

In a deserted neighbourhood stood a huge house surrounded by leafless trees. This house was the only one for miles. The grass at the front of the house was dull and dry; it looked like it hadn’t been cut for weeks. There lay a sign placed in the grass; it read ‘BEWARE OF DOG’.
Although the garden wasn’t very attractive the actual house was dazzling. The doorbell was made out of pure gold and the owners names were carved in an incredibly, posh and expensive looking marble block attached firmly on the door, “The Brookes”. For such a swell looking house the door was wide open. The hall, kitchen, lounge and dining room were completely empty. It was the perfect scene for tumbleweed. A light still hung in the hall. It flickered on and off for several times until it finally lost all power. The kitchen made a terrible noise that surrounded the house. Suddenly a BIG grey figure came running down the stairs and ran out the door. It was a dog. As I started to go upstairs, there was an awful smell. It was a strong, eye bleeding smell that I had to cover my nose for. It was disgusting. I did not want to encounter it again.
