Primary 5 have created their own logo for Three Wishes. First we had a class discussion about logos. Then we drew ideas for a logo. We got time to look at them and choose our favourites. We chose our three favourite designs and put a tick on the paper. Then we counted which had the most ticks. Alex Simth’s logo won.

We are Primary 5, Room 7 at Woodside School. We are making our own animated film. Miguel is a professional animator and he is going to help us. Migy came to visit our school on April 11th, 2008.
The animated film is based on one of the poems that will be published in the Reading Bus book of Doric Verse called, “Fit Like, Yer Majesty?”

“My erst wish,” he did speir
“A puckle o sausages, fried an broon!”

“I wish them on yer heid!”

“Ow! Ow!” he cried, “I wish them aff!”

Primary 5/6 from Causewayend School visited the Aberdeen Art Gallery with their class teacher and Sheena Blackhall and David Barry from The Reading Bus. The class were enthralled by storytelling sessions from Sheena using different paintings as the stimulus. Back in class the youngsters wrote fantastic poems, stories and plays using the paintings as the inspiration.
