A Memory I Can’t Forget x x x
May 1st, 2007
It was about 10 years ago now, I was only two years old. I used to be petrified of dogs, big ones and little ones. Every time I was waiting in the landing and someone came in with a dog I used to run up the landing stairs and wait until they had gone. Then I would come back down the stairs and wait for my friend Natasha again. After a while my mum took my dog Tara out for the toilet .When she got of out the door I legged it out to the garden, when she got out to the garden she ran to me and I started to run and she chased me round and round and then she stopped and turned the other way and then jumped on me and I fell to the ground. When I was on the ground my head was very, very sore and then my mum came over and said that I needed to go straight to hospital. I suddenly woke up and my mum said that I had fallen asleep, the hospital said that we could go home. So we got our stuff and then went out to the car and then went home. Natalie

That was a good strong story, Natalie. But did your fear of dogs come from the bad accident that landed you in hospital or from where? I’d love to know where you think fear of dogs comes from. And I hope you’re not scared of dogs now.
Your story reminded me of a friend who wouldn’t play football at the park when there was a dog nearby. It’s a shame when fear of dogs stops you having fun.
