mysterious match

One showery morning down Creek lane. The sound of the football match was deafening and the children on the street were cheering for Celtic to win. There was a house with the up stairs light on. Inside the house there was a hallway. In the hallway there was a line of shoes. A pair of men’s shoes, women’s shoes and a pair of boy’s shoes. I walked through the hallway into the living room. There was a table. On the table there were three football tickets and a cup of cold tea. There was a three-seater suite and a plasma television. Walked into the kitchen. But there was only food cupboards and cooking supplies. I spotted a calendar had a look at it. It said 29th November and right beside it said: My birthday = football match. I started thinking about the date. It is the 29th November today. They must have forgotten the tickets. I walked in the hallway again and ran upstairs. As I went up I saw a light blue room. That was the room with the light on. I walked in. There was very loud music on and headphones lying on the bed. It was very untidy. I walked to the 2nd room. It was a girls room .It had a single bed with pink diamond patterned curtains .It was lovely. The bed was made and everything was put away neatly. I saw a brown door so I walked in .It had a double bed and this room was very tidy too. I thought to myself “ill look in the last room and leave quickly “ .So I did. The last room was the bathroom. It was mostly blue and very pretty looking. I saw a spider in the sink so I an out and downstairs and out the door. I looked up at the house. The upstairs light was switched off. Did I switch it off? I don’t think so.

A Castle In The Country

One day in the country far away there was a castle made from solid gold. Did a family live there? It would need to be a big family. Or would it?
In one room there were three double beds with pink sheets and lying beside the beds were three nightgowns, one small, one medium, one large. In the cupboard there were three pairs of dace shoes and three different sizes of tutus.
In the second bedroom there was a picture of Rodney Mullen doing a tail-grind and another picture of Tony Hawk on a half-pipe. There was a game lying on the floor called Tony Hawk’s project 8. Beside the game lay a Bam skateboard and a Jart skateboard. There was also a plasma TV.
In the biggest room there were two bedside tables, a super king sized bed and a huge princess like mirror and a nice wardrobe. In the wardrobe under all the clothes were two tennis trophies and tennis rackets and balls. On the bedside table were a light and a book and beside the book was a pair of glasses, the books title was Each Man Kills.
Having looked in all those rooms it looked as this was a very busy family but the mystery was where are they?
Outside there were only my footprints in the snow. Strange! The car was there covered with snow and frost. I looked again, funny I thought there wasn’t footprints leading to the car, but coming from the car. How could that be?
So I decided to follow the footprints. It was difficult because the snow was deep. I walked and walked following the trail wandering where it would lead.
Suddenly, the footprints stopped. I wonder why? I looked around. Nothing they just seemed to vanish into thin air. Where was the family that’s the mystery?

Mystery

One snowy Friday morning in a land far away stood a mansion at thee edge of a forest a dark forest not very inviting. Along side this forest was a path and it was on this path I was taking my dog Sparky for a walk. As I walked along the path I saw the mansion. It looked very old as if no one lived there. Ivy was growing all over the outside walls. The windows were dirty and dusty. I walked towards it and the door was wide open and some of the paint had been scraped off. I tied Sparky to a tree. I walked to the door and shouted ”Is anybody there?” No one answered. I slowly entered and stood there in the big hallway. I looked around and was amazed at how big it was. It had a huge staircase in the middle of it, and to the left there was a room. A light was shining under the doorway. I slowly opened the door and walked into the room. I saw hundreds of trophies and two huge photos in gold frames. One of the photos had a girl with blonde hair and wearing a beautiful pink dress and holding white ice skates. The other photo had a girl with brown curly and was wearing an amazing purple dress and holding a trophy. The blonde haired girl wasn’t really smiling, but the brown haired girl’s smile was beaming. I thought it was strange why the blonde girl looked so glum. I decided to explore more of the house, because I was curious. I climbed the stairs. When I got to the top I could see a number of open doors, so I just had a peep into each one. All the rooms were really messy. What could have happened here? Burglars or just messy people? Suddenly, I heard police sirens and they were getting closer and closer. Before I knew what was happening to burly policeman grabbed me and put handcuffs .I tried to tell them I was innocent but they would not listen. What was going to happen to me now? Well that’s another story and I have not to be noisy. By Avelon

mysterious house

There was a house on a street near the beach. It was a big granite house with a red door and twenty-one in black writing. The door was open. Why?

I walked toward the door slowly. I popped my head in the door. “Hello”! I shouted. No one answered. I decided to go in. As I entered there was lots of pictures of famous footballers and some footballs at the door. I could tell they liked football. I walked on to see a living room with newspapers lying in a pile on the table. There was a kitchen with a calendar it had August the 2nd. There was a picture of a mum a dad and two kids. I had a look up stairs there was three bedrooms. I went into the first room it was pink I was guessing there was a girl in the house. I walked into the other it was a cream colour with a double bed and dirty washing on the floor. There was an odd sock lying beside the bed. I decided to go to the other room beside the mum and dads room. Off I went to the other room. On the door there was a sign saying KEEP OUT! I had to have a peep. I opened the door to see a bed unmade some football kits on the floor and two footballs behind the door. It was a mess! I saw dvd’s on the floor below the TV and the cupboard wide open. I had a look at the round clock it had 5:20pm I thought I best go down stairs. I went to the window and saw a mum, a dad and two kids. They looked like the people in the photo. Oh no it is the family . I jumped out the window and ran to the car.by chloe`CCC

The Football Match

In the countryside a mansion stood alone. Surrounded by lots of beautiful trees and lots of wonderful birds singing. In the distance you could see lots of tall hills. So i thought to my self should i go in to the mansion and have a peep.
So i went inside it looked beautiful. The only thing was that there were clothes lying everywhere and dirty socks that smelt horrible. I walked through to the living room in the corner of the room there was a gold shelf. That had trophies and medals on it so then i walked through to the stairs and there was a pair of football boots on one of the steps. Then i went up the stairs and the was three bed rooms and one games room and a gyms room i walked into one of the bedrooms. On the wall there was a poster of a football player and on the the bed there was a football ticket it said 5th July but the 5th July is today. Just as i went to close the bedroom door i heard the front door close and there was a man speaking on the phone about a football match. He was coming up the stairs so I quickly ran into the games room.
He went into his bedroom and came back out with the football ticket that he forgot. He was still on the phone and he said “I have got the football ticket. Ill be there in half an hour” and he ran down the out of the door. Finally he has gone I came out of the games room and went back down stairs. I went into the living room I switched the TV on the football was on channel four. It was Celtic against Rangers. It was 0 – 0. I walked into the kitchen on the fried door there was a picture of a man and the Celtic football team. I guessed he liked Celtic. So I went back through to the living room and the score was now 1 – 0 Celtic! Every one was cheering except the Rangers fans. Suddenly the house phone began to ring. I didn’t answer but it stopped ringing anyway, so I just watched the football match until it finished. Celtic won   3 – 0 against Rangers! I saw the man just as I went to shut the living room door. He found me and he said “I am taking you home to your mum”
When I got home my sister and me were cheering for Celtic and so was my mum!

The Old Cottage

Can you work out what sort of person lives in this cottage and what is they might be doing at this very moment?

I arrived at a small cottage. As I walked in I saw an 80th birthday card and some walking sticks. I entered the first room. It was the living room. On the table was a checkers board and some checkers pieces. There was also a happy birthday sign on the wall.

I looked out the window and saw the front garden. The lawn was covered in snow and all the flowers were dead. I opened the window. I heard birds twittering and a tractor in a field and a town in the distance.

I saw another door, it led to the kitchen. There were some more birthday cards and a piece of peper on the worktop saying ‘Eggs, cheese and milk.’ I figured it was a shopping list. I guessed the person was out shopping and had forgotten it. There was also an oven, a kettle and a toaster and some cupboards, some were open, some had food and some had pots and pans in them.

There was a back door as well. So I went out, but it was cold so I came straight back in. I went back to the front door and went upstairs. There was a door open. I went in the door. It had a single bed in the middle of the room and a cupboard full of clothes and a pair of shoes. There was also a newspaper on the bedside table. I looked at my watch; it was time to go.

In the Heart of the City

See if you can work out what the person who lives in this flat is like.

This flat was in the heart of the city. It had four rooms but was very small and cramped. In the hall there were two helmets hanging on coat hooks and in the middle of the floor was a skateboard.

When you went in to the living room there was clutter everywhere. But the only thing on the small coffee table was a letter saying “Hi it’s me Jas, I arrive back today. Fancy meeting at the skate park at one? See you there!” Just then the clock struck one o’clock. The couch was very run down like most of the stuff in the room.

In the bedroom the clutter was much, much worse. Clothes scattered everywhere, bed not made. But the wardrobe was half open, it was full of ripped jeans, red tops and black hoodies. On the desk there was a book with drawings of skulls but mostly swirls. The swirls were like the ones on the walls.

In the kitchen there were dirty dishes, spills and food piles everywhere. It was disgusting! But then something came through the mailbox. It was a report card and letter. On the letter it said “Miss M your grades better improve or you are expelled!!! From Mr Meaner”

On the teacher comment there was “hard to teach!” The grades were F, F, F, F, F, F, F and E+ Wow! What a bad grader I thought.

Back in the living room there was a trophy cabinet full of skateboarding trophies and on the door there was a calendar marked with skating days, and today’s date saying meet Jas Skate Park at one. Also on the cabinet there was a picture of a girl holding a trophy. “The same one as in the cabinet, she must be a good boarder!”

A House in a Forest

What sort of person lives in this house, and what are they finding a problem?

Arrived at a damp, crooked house in the middle of a dark, spooky, scary forest where the thunder struck and the owls hooted. I was trying to find a way in the house and to my surprise the door swung open. I approached the door slowly and nervously.

When I got in I went as white as a ghost as in the living room there were testubes. Some had frog liver and slug slime; some had people’s eyeballs and dragon intestine. At the corner of the room there was an old, crooked broomstick, and a book. It said Flying a Broomstick for Dummies. On top of the fireplace, on a shelf were black and white pictures.

In the kitchen was a large, black cauldren and beside it was a cooking book. Something was different about this cooking book but I couldn’t put my finger on it, then I realised what it was. The title said how to cook rotten frog. By this time I was nearly sick.

I went into the bedroom. It had piles of clothes, the bed was untidy and it had a smell of mothballs. Well at least it doesn’t have anything sick I said the myself.

It was late at night and I was going to the toilet when I heard a laughing noise, so I scampered away from the damp, spooky, scary house and went home.

The Animal

Can you solve the mystery of this strange castle and what’s happening there?

Bats flew by in the dark sky, fireworks bursting, creating light. All animals irritated with the event taking place, but one animal found a castle in the clearing made out of gold blocks and bricks. The animal scurried along to see the castle for itself. The door was camouflaged with bushes and vines. Fortunately that animal had sharp fangs and claws. So it looked like it wasn’t touched for months, maybe even years. The creature opened the door with force and came upon a lobby. It looked like it would go on for hours but it was just a trick of the mind…

Then there was a staircase up ahead, with one hundred steps, made from blocks of gold. It was impossible to be so rich but the creature wouldn’t know that. So it went up the stairs, up and up it went and it suddenly realised it wasn’t going anywhere. The first step it was on, it’s as if it was doing the moonwalk. The creature was actually day dreaming and was standing in the living room on the coffee table, more like BLOOD TABLE…

The creature jumped off the blood table and landed on a golden test tube, it howled in pain but it seemed to be that no one was in the castle. Shortly it started to think about who lives here. A gold test tube, a blood table instead of a coffee table. Suddenly the scent of garlic past the room in a flash. The animal followed the scent to find it came from a dungeon, but it was actually a torture chamber. The sound of water dripping inside a bucket gave the creature shivers coming down from head to paws.

It kept walking down the steps. Then, at that very moment, it stepped on a loose step, setting off an alarm. This alarm sounded well terrifying that even the bravest creature couldn’t help being terrified so much. It ran at mach 9 speed, faster than a Ferrari or anything you can imagine. It looked back then BANG!!! It went right into a wall, breaking through it in a painful way. It was knocked out for half an hour. It finally lashed out with an angry growl. The creature was in a lab for a crazy person who creates creatures with a license to kill. It walked along through the lab, looking at at all the creations and one creature in particular. This one amazed the animal, and then…

An earthquake appeared to be happening outside, nearly heading for the castle. The creature in the tube that was created jumped out, scaring the animal. Almost fainting, the animal went pale and white as a ghost. The creature was actually unstable and exploded, then a white light appeared in the air, and it grew bigger and bigger, and then…

This incident was interesting and confusing as well. Oh well, this mystery is better left unsolved.
