Homework!

November 30th, 2006

I think homework should be banned because we go to school to learn, then we go home to be free! We don’t go home to waste our little bit of freedom doing such hard work, and I’m sure all kids agree with me. Some teachers might even agree with me because the teachers have to prepare it, also at the end of the week the teachers have to mark it!

I’m not a big fan of homework either… and I’m a teacher! Preparing it isn’t the problem - it’s the marking that takes ages! I agree that if you work hard at school and do your best you should spend your free time doing things with your family. I don’t think we’ll ever solve the problem of what to do about homework!

This is an interesting debate - it would be good to get more views about homework. You certainly seem to feel very strongly that we shouldn’t have homework - wonder what the rest of your class thinks!
