How to make friends

Why do you need friend? … Well you need friends to hang aound with at school and after school. If you are lonely you can go to your friends. If your friends like a laugh you can have fun! If your friends do not like a laugh they will still be there for you, to help you when you are hurt.
So if you find it hard to make friends, try to be nicer to people, listen to them and keep secrets.
If people do still not like you, you mustn’t change because you may get into trouble at school and home.
Be yourself and people the same as you will find you and be your friends.

Well done Jade - I think what you have written is one of the hardest lessons in life - and you know it at the age of 12. I hope you always remember that true friends will like you as they are.
