In the castle
October 8th, 2007
Far away in the countryside there was a giant castle. Most of the castle was covered in moss. One cold March day I was walking along an old cobbled road when I noticed a castle. Just as I approached the door a welcoming voice said, “Enter.” So I did. I cautiously walked in wondering what I would see. I turned round and saw two pieces of parchment. I looked in carefully, one had numbers from 1-70A and the other had 70B-140. I looked around, there was antlers, heads and locked gun cabinets. I gazed in awe at all animal body parts. I decided to have a look around the castle. A fierce wind blew the door open, which made chandeliers above me clink together. I walked up the most fanciest looked stairs I’d ever seen. The first door I saw marked 24. I looked in and saw a whole bunch of deer caucuses. I went along a corridor and looked in door 51. I saw lots of trophies. On the back of the door there was a note saying “Hunting Season starts 7.3.06.”
“Wait a minute that’s today!” I said looking puzzled.
I wanted to look in one more door. I found door number 1 which was next to the front door. I sneaked in, but somehow an alarm went off. I didn’t bother to wait for what was going to happen. So I ran out the front door and sprinted home. As I ran I could hear the crunching of gravel behind me. By Fraser G.
