My thoughts.
February 22nd, 2007
Sometimes I feel like nobody listens to me like being picked last for football in the playground. One time when I was walking through the streets of Aberdeen a couple of big kids grabbed me and started to beat me up pretty bad.
But then I just realised that when you have taken a couple of beatings and know that you are not made out of glass ,you learn to be smarter and become stronger than usual times. You have to try and keep your anger and strength to yourself and use them for good things for the good of the human race . Thats what I think about life .

I liked your opening sentence it made me want to read on and find out why you don’t feel you are listened to. I particularly liked the phrase ‘know that you are not made out of glass.’ This sentence conjures up a lovely image in my mind.
I would like to read some more of your work, perhaps a piece of fiction work with a main character that is in conflict with something or someone.
Well done.

This is a very moving blog Brandon. Your opening sentence really ‘hooked’ me and made me want to read on. You obviously enjoying writing.

Your writing really made me think - always a sign of good writing. I agree that it is doesn’t make you feel good to be picked on. You offer very good advise and I hope it helps people to be strong like you. You also offered very good advice on the radio broadcast that you were involved in at Woodside School - perhaps we could start having regular blogs called “Advice from Bandon”. Please keep writing!

Brandon,
This a super piece of writing - and so helpful to others. I am sure we can use your experiences to help other pupils.
Thank you

What an honest piece of writing, Brandon. You explained your feelings very well and, reading the comments, many people understand how you are feeling.
Life will not always feel like this, remember - things will get better for you - keep your head held high!
