Mystery Crime
November 23rd, 2007
It was a winter day and the door of the isolated house at the end of the street wide open.
The house was quite big and made out of wood, mud and straw. The door number of the house was knocked off and the door was off its hinges. Inside there was a strong smell of burning wood. There was smashed glass on the floor. And in the chest of drawers cupboard an album lay open. There were three wedding photos and a photo was missing.
There were medals on the floor and little boat figures smashed on the floor and books about sailing and some of the pages had been torn out.
The house number lay next to an empty bottle of ketchup.
In the sink were dirty pans and pots that stunk and had not been washed for weeks. The smell of burning got stronger. The phone was making odd beeping noises and vaguely could hear a voice. The noises stopped and it hung up. There was movement in the room next door and a light switched on blood was leaking from under the door. The door slowly opened by the wind of the front door, the window was wide open and blood on the floor.
