The freaky factory

An old lady called Liz lived in a house on top of a hill. One day she decided to go to the market to get her fruit and vegetables. On her way back she passed the factory. She turned her head and written on the gate was “Beware”. She pushed the gate open and stepped into the intimidating and colossal space. It murky and gloomy so she reached up to find a button. She pressed the button and on came the machines. It was so noisy, so she switched it back off.

She walked around in the dark and accidentally knocked over a pile of sheets and a half full bottle of red food colouring. She found a lightswicth and switched it on. The light flickered on and off but, she decided, it was better than nothing.

She came to a door. She pushed it open and entered. It was a bathroom. It was damp and there were cobwebs verywhere. Then she noticed the sink covered in blood. She got scared and ran out of the room.

She climbed the stairs to find an office. There were bandages all over the computer, and on the floor lay a boiler suit and a bag. She looked in the bag and there was a letter from the police. The message was:

“Dear Zak, I know you have got the young girl Zoe. We saw you with her yesterday. Yours sincerely, Grampian Police.”

She popped the letter back in the envelope and had another rummage around the bag to find a newspaper. On the fron page was written:

“31 Year Old Man Kidnaps 8 Year Old Girl.”

She had a look at the boiler suit, it was covered in oil. She started to daydream. She thought about what had happened and why it had happened. Then all of a sudden she heard a scream.

She came to a hallway. All over the floor was scattered pieces of paper. It was descriptions of the young girl. The piece of paper said: “Young girl kidnapped a month ago. Brown hair and blue eyes.”

Liz felt upset and she was determined to find her. Then she felt tired, so she sat down and got an apple from her handbag and started to eat it. After a while she fell asleep. All of a sudden she woke up to hear a loud bang.

It became cold. She wrapped her cardigan around her and she began to shiver. She walked through corridor after corridor. Then she came to a door. It said: “Don’t enter, Beware, Private and toxic.”

She opened the door and a cat jumped out. Then she heard a scream and her heart started to race. She walked up to the cupboard, pushed the handle down and..
