What am I?
June 10th, 2007
It blooms in spring,
Joy is what it brings.
It ispink and white,
The wind shakes it like it’s on a rough flight.
“Please do not pick me,” it said
If you pick me I must be paid.
So do not pick this plant
What is it ?
It’s blossoms.

What a lovely poem.
My favourite line was
which seemed a very original way to describe a flower buffeted by turbulence.
Maybe the poem would have read better if it was consistently in the first person… that is ‘I’s and ‘me’s instead of ‘it’s.
I’d also love to know which kind of blossom you mean.
