Moving Flicks

Moving Flicks aspires to be an animated film studio that employs a small team of freelance artists to work with young people;  boosting their confidence and employability by giving them the opportunity to create bespoke films.

TAQA Bratani Ltd have sponsored the development phase of this exciting initiative. During this time Moving Flicks will operate two days a week in the Torry, St Machar and Northfield regeneration areas of Aberdeen as a mobile resource.  The team of professional artists will work alongside young people to produce a series of animated film in 19 different establishments.   Moving Flicks will also deliver a comprehensive training programme to teaching staff, funded by Aberdeen City Council.  This work will culminate in a series of Film Festivals in May 2011.

The Reading Bus is a Regional Training Centre for Apple Education.  This provides invaluable support through training and is a key element in developing the film animation programme.
